Ace Retail Holdings to locate Store Support Center in Overland Park
Overland Park, Kan., May 21, 2025 – Ace Retail Holdings announced it is locating its Store Support Center (SSC) in the Executive Hills office complex, bringing approximately 130 new jobs to Overland Park.
Ace Retail Holdings is the parent company of Westlake Ace Hardware and additional regional retail hardware brands.
The SSC is the operational hub that supports 250+ retail locations nationwide. The new office at 7500 West 110th Street will occupy approximately 32,500 square feet across three floors. It will house associates from key departments such as finance, IT, human resources, marketing, merchandising and operations. Renovations are set to begin immediately, with occupancy planned in the fourth quarter of 2025.
“Westlake Ace Hardware, and more recently Ace Retail Holdings, has proudly called the greater Kansas City area home since opening our first store here in 1975 and the original Store Support Center in 2004,” said Joe Jeffries, president and chief executive officer of Ace Retail Holdings. “It’s exciting to expand and reinforce our commitment to the Kansas City area as an employer and neighbor.”
Jeffries added, “Relocating to a larger, more versatile, and vibrant space helps support the tremendous growth Ace Retail Holdings has experienced in recent years. The Executive Hills location is ideal because it’s very accessible for the majority of our associates, many of whom live in Johnson County, and it will include amenities that will foster team building and collaboration. We are looking forward to the move.”
"We are pleased to welcome Ace Retail Holdings and Westlake Ace Hardware to Overland Park,” said Curt Skoog, mayor of Overland Park. “Westlake Ace stores have served Overland Park neighborhoods for many years, delivering reliable products and expert advice to the community. This is a win for Ace Retail Holdings and Overland Park, bringing valuable jobs to our city and further solidifying Overland Park as a premier executive office destination.”
“This is the latest of many recent exciting announcements underscoring Overland Park’s desirable business environment, which continues to attract corporations and new jobs,” said Tracey Osborne Oltjen, Overland Park Chamber President and CEO. “The Chamber is continuously partnering with stakeholders to strengthen Overland Park’s competitiveness to boost job growth and business investment to ensure economic prosperity. We are proud to welcome companies new to our market as well as beloved Kansas City brands like Westlake Ace Hardware.”
Westlake Ace Hardware currently owns and operates 30 stores in the greater Kansas City metropolitan area, with new locations planned for Shawnee and Grain Valley within the coming 12-14 months.
