Voter apathy and turnout in elections is a growing concern across the country. The Chamber works to address this issue through its efforts to inform and engage voters. Before each election, the Chamber hosts forums to help voters learn about candidates.
Promoting voter awareness and civic engagement
Through its collaboration with other Johnson County chambers of commerce, the Chamber administers the VoteJoCo.com website that features candidate profiles and videos of candidate forums so residents are better informed when they head to the polls.
The Chamber wants residents to be aware of the importance of voting for candidates who represent their views in shaping what the future looks like – especially in local elections where voting is even more impactful.
