Policy in Depth

The Chamber's Public Policy & Advocacy team is working daily to stay on top of public policy and inform our members about issues that can impact their businesses.
To provide a full-time voice for the business community regarding government regulation, oversight and initiatives, our full-time lobbyist, Kevin Walker, Executive Vice President and Chief Policy Officer, works to advocate business-friendly policies at the city, county, state and federal levels.

Community Scans

2021
The Overland Park Chamber Foundation and Home Builders Association of Greater Kansas City released results of a community poll of Overland Park voters. The goal of the survey, which is conducted approximately every 10 years, was to determine if changing demographics and growth in Overland Park have changed long-standing quality of life priorities and views toward taxation.
The survey was conducted by Neil Newhouse, Public Opinion Strategies.
