Security Benefit expands in Overland Park

Bringing up to 30 new high-paying jobs to Aspiria Campus

Overland Park, Kan., September 25, 2025 Security Benefit, a leading retirement and financial services provider, announced it will expand its presence in Overland Park with a new location on the Aspiria campus. The company will add up to 30 new jobs over time. The potential new jobs could have average annual compensation of more than $100,000.

In addition to the Overland Park expansion, Security Benefit anticipates adding up to 55 new jobs over time at its headquarters in Topeka, Kan., which successfully competed with Des Moines, Ia., for these new positions.

The Overland Park Chamber of Commerce and the City of Overland Park partnered to support the project by covering the cost of state incentive application fees up to $3,000. The State of Kansas also is providing assistance through a variety of programs.

“We are thrilled Security Benefit is growing in Overland Park,” said Overland Park Mayor Curt Skoog. “Its decision to expand at Aspiria underscores the strength of our business community, the quality of our workforce, and the benefits of choosing Overland Park as a place to grow.”

“Our company was built on trusting relationships to support families and communities financially and continues to thrive in a competitive industry,” said Doug Wolff, CEO of Security Benefit. “Our expansion in Overland Park will complement our decades-long investment in the region. Tapping into the exceptional workforce and business climate in the area will help ensure we have the people we need to serve our customer base now and in the future. We appreciate the support from the Chamber and the State of Kansas, as together we are making the state’s economy even stronger.”

Libbey Tucker, Senior Vice President of Economic Development for the Overland Park Chamber, echoed the enthusiasm: “This expansion highlights both the local and statewide commitment to supporting businesses and providing the talent and environment they need to thrive. We’re proud to welcome Security Benefit’s continued investment in our community.”

Security Benefit has been part of the Kansas business landscape since 1892 and continues to strengthen its position as a major employer in both Topeka and Overland Park.
