The Overland Park Chamber Foundation is an invaluable partner of the Chamber. The mission of the 501(c)3 Foundation is to educate, inform and inspire members of the business community, as well as the citizens of Johnson County, to spur economic growth, confront challenges and create a vital, growing and livable community.

National Civics Bee®
By supporting the National Civics Bee®, the Foundation is helping to encourage young Americans to engage in civics and contribute to their communities.

Ways to Get Involved
The National Civics Bee® is a nonpartisan civics competition that encourages young Americans to engage in civics and contribute to their communities. Participating 6th, 7th, and 8th graders will showcase their civics knowledge for a chance to win recognition and cash prizes.
There are many ways to support the bee:
- Share with any Kansas middle school students you know!
- Share with any Kansas educators, school district staff, or community leaders!
- Volunteer as a essay judge
- Sponsorship opportunities
- Attend the live competition
